King Carl XVI Gustaf has sent a congratulatory telegram to Donald Trump after he took office as new president in the USA on Monday.
"On the occasion of you taking office as President of the United States, I extend to you my sincere congratulations and my best wishes for your health and happiness, as well as for the well-being and prosperity of the American people", it says in the telegram according to the Royal Court.
