Durov is accused of aiding and abetting terrorist activities because Telegram has not removed certain channels that are reportedly used to coordinate terror and sabotage in Russia, Russian Interfax reports.
According to the FSB, the channels are used by "Ukrainian security services, terrorist and extremist organizations to prepare and coordinate acts of sabotage and terrorism, mass murder and cyber fraud," the news agency writes.
Telegram has previously been fined by Russia for failing to remove certain content that is banned in the country.
