The CEO and co-founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, has been denied permission to travel from Norway to participate in a conference, the organizer announced late on Saturday.

He was scheduled to speak at the Oslo Freedom Forum on Tuesday, but will now hold his speech via link.

Durov, 40, was arrested outside Paris in August 2024, accused of failing to act against criminals using his popular messaging app. He was released later.
