The arena at the Globen area in Stockholm, which replaced Söderstadion, was named Tele2 Arena. After twelve years, the telecom company is leaving as name sponsor and another company in the industry is taking over at the turn of the year.

"We are incredibly proud and happy about 3Arena and our new and long-term partnership with Stockholm Live. Music and football are in Three's DNA. With our strong passion for innovation, connectivity, and experiences, we look forward to contributing to the arena's and the entire area's development. Moreover, our head office is located right opposite the arena, so when the opportunity arose, we thought it was a perfect occasion", says Haval van Drumpt, CEO of Three Sweden, in a press release.

Both Hammarby's and Djurgården's top-tier league teams have Tele2 Arena as their home ground.

Recently, the other major arena in the Stockholm area also changed its name, from Friends Arena to Strawberry Arena.
