Crises-hit IFK Norrköping got off to a nightmare start at home against Hammarby. After just six minutes, “Beijing” failed to clear a corner and Gudrún Arnardóttir scored to make it 1–0.
Then the teenagers took over the game. Barely 20 minutes later, 16-year-old Fanny Peterson thundered in 2–0 off the crossbar and another ten minutes later, 18-year-old Inés Lorenius latched onto a loose ball in the penalty area and made it 3–0. The match was Lorenius's first in the Swedish women's championship, and the fact that she would start the match was nothing she had expected.
"Damn fun, shocking. But it was just to thank and accept. It was fun to score," she said in SVT's broadcast.
Norwegian Elin Sørum made it 4–0 from the penalty spot in the second half.
The defeat takes Hammarby to the top of the table in the Swedish women's championship, one point ahead of Häcken, who have one game in hand. Norrköping remains at the bottom and is in a negative qualifying position.
