The night of June 3, a fire started in a residence in Grästorps municipality, after someone threw in a gasoline can through a window and set it on fire.
The same night, a fire was started in a stairwell in Lidköping, by placing two gasoline cans outside an apartment door.
No one was injured in the fires, which according to the prosecutors are connected to each other – and a shooting that occurred a few days earlier at the house in Grästorp.
”The fires, just like the shooting that is still being investigated, have been directed against relatives of people who we believe are involved in a narcotics conflict with a criminal network”, says prosecutor Sofia Karlsson in a press release.
A 18-year-old man is now being prosecuted suspected of arson after the fire in Grästorp. At the same time, a 15-year-old boy is being prosecuted suspected of aiding and abetting the fire and suspected of aggravated arson after the fire in Lidköping.
