The fire, which broke out at the popular bar Le Constellation on New Year's Eve in Switzerland, also injured more than 100 people.
Investigators believe the fire started when pyrotechnics attached to champagne bottles were raised toward the ceiling and ignited foam-rubber soundproofing.
The bar had not been fire inspected in years, and the owners are suspected of, among other things, causing another person's death.
