The accident occurred when three teenage boys climbed the mast to record material for a TikTok challenge.
As they were descending, the youngest boy lost his grip and fell from the mast, which is just over 325 meters high. He died of his injuries.
The two boys who survived are now suspected of crimes. The incident occurred on December 20.
"The fact that it is possible to climb the mast does not mean that it is allowed," lead investigator Panu Rautio told Hufvudstadsbladet.
According to the newspaper, the police say that it is worrying that young people are participating in dangerous challenges on social media and urge parents to talk about risks with their children.
