In the accident, which occurred on Route 56 on Wednesday morning, the moped and a passenger car collided. The girl was taken to hospital and is undergoing emergency surgery.
The police are investigating the cause and have seized both vehicles for technical examination.
The road was closed in connection with the accident, but is now open to traffic again.
