The incident occurred in the middle of the day in Landskrona in May. Several people reacted to loud screams and then saw a gang chasing a teenage boy into a courtyard.
According to witnesses, the teenage boy was kicked in the face and beaten with a chain wrapped in a sock. One of the gang members also allegedly used a baseball bat as a weapon.
Four people were arrested shortly afterwards. They are a teenage boy and three young men aged 17, 19, 20 and 22.
According to Helsingborgs Dagblad, all have criminal records and several have previously been convicted of serious crimes.
