A 16-year-old boy is being prosecuted for a murder in February, reports SVT Gävleborg.
The 16-year-old, from Västergötland, is believed to have received the murder assignment via the encrypted messaging service Signal. On the instructions of the instigator, he is instructed to travel to Gävle and kill an unknown person to him.
Two days after the incident, he is arrested at Gävle Central Station.
We have not found any connection between the plaintiff and the target. Our picture is that he has committed a murder on behalf of another, says prosecutor Jenny Örn to SVT.
The prosecution concerns the execution of the murder, but the police are investigating in parallel who may be behind it.
