Police Enhance Security Zone in Örebro After Violent Crimes

The police are reinforcing the security area in Oxhagen and Varberga with regional resources, reports P4 Örebro.

After the recent violent crimes, the police introduced a security zone in Oxhagen and Varberga in Örebro on Wednesday. This is to prevent serious gang-related violent crimes.

Now, the security zone is being reinforced with, among other things, traffic police, MC police, and drones. The security zone is expected to last for two weeks.

Earlier on Thursday, a teenage boy was arrested on probable cause suspected of attempted murder and serious weapons offenses in Örebro, reports Nerikes Allehanda.

It was on Monday that the shooting took place, in the midst of children and young people in the Oxhagen neighborhood, according to the newspaper. No one was injured in connection with the shooting.

A explosion occurred in an apartment in Örebro on Wednesday, where one person was injured.
