The players had difficulty accessing the app and website, among other things.
"This is something we deeply regret," says Hans Sahlin, CEO of Folkspel, the lottery organizer, in a written comment to TT.
The game was down for three hours for players with digital lottery tickets. They could not follow the first draws and therefore could not call in.
Folkspel's IT manager Jan Olsen comments in writing:
"We have prepared ourselves for a long time to handle the influx we know is coming with the Uppesittarkvällen and are very surprised and overwhelmed by what happened when the broadcast started. It came out of nowhere. An extremely strange error that we have never experienced before," says Olsen, adding that everything will be thoroughly investigated.
Folkspel and Bingolotto apologize and say they understand the great disappointment that may exist among affected players.
"At the same time, it is important to inform that digital lottery buyers can correct their lottery tickets afterwards," says Mathias Skoglund, deputy CEO of Folkspel.
The broadcast was the 30th in order and was hosted by Lotta Engberg and Daniel Norberg.
