Among the most heavily traded stocks in the OMXS30 index, measurement technology company Hexagon rose 4.7 percent, engineering group Atlas Copco rose 1.8 percent and forestry company SCA rose 1.8 percent.
In the opposite direction was defense group Saab, which fell 1.6 percent, and industrial group ABB, which fell 0.5 percent.
Reporting Securitas also fell 11 percent.
After a few hours of trading on Wall Street, the main indexes are pointing upward.
The war in Iran continues, with attacks from both Iran and the US. But the price of North Sea oil (Brent) is falling to around $95.80 per barrel, from Thursday's peak of $102 per barrel.
