Daughter Mira and son August got kisses and hugs when the skipper met the Swedish media after securing a final spot. It was pure chaos in the mixed zone when the children of Hasselborg, Sara McManus and Agnes Knochenhauer were allowed to accompany their mothers.
Three mothers showed strong emotions. Hasselborg had to explain to Mira why her mother was crying.
"I'm just crying because I'm so happy, old lady," says Anna.
Mira laughs.
All the emotions come out at once. But then everything that is important in life right now is in place. Family - and a curling game that goes like a dance.
For us, the key is to have fun, to enjoy ourselves. That's how we get the best out of our curling.
We will continue to do that.
Team Anette Norberg dominated women's Olympic curling and won two straight gold medals - first in Turin in 2006 and then four years later in Vancouver - a feat no nation has been able to repeat since.
However, a medal is guaranteed when Anna Hasselborg, Sara McManus, Agnes Knochenhauer and Sofia Scharback perform under the five rings every four years.
Third consecutive Olympic medal
Conclusion:
+ Gold in Pyeongchang 2018.
+ Bronze in Beijing 2022.
+ Gold or silver in Cortina 2026.
The Swedish quartet celebrates ten years as a championship team but did not go to Italy as one of the clear favorites. But the quartet has delivered from the start. On Sunday morning, the Swedes will play for the gold against Switzerland, who beat the USA 7–4.
I actually don't know when the final will be played. Someone said that if we win, we'll get a day off. It'll be great. Now we get to celebrate a medal and then we'll have time to recharge, says Anna Hasselborg.
We will analyze Switzerland, have a great match like today, believe in our game plan and go in hard.

The semi-finals were even until the sixth round. Then came the Swedish push. Canada was unable to catch up.

National team captain Fredrik Lindberg:
We did what we said we would do, came in and dominated and made them hit hard shots. I felt surprisingly calm.
Sweden and Switzerland topped the regular season. Now they're playing for the gold.
This week, it's the best teams. I think we've performed extremely well. As a curling lover, it's a dream final. I'm going to enjoy it all the way and I'm sure the girls will too, says Lindberg.
