The team won Olympic gold in Cortina in February.

The fact that we succeeded gives us a lot of confidence for the future and shows that we are capable of continuing to develop.

Anna Hasselborg also says that financial security makes it possible to continue. Vattenfall is the new main partner of the curling team.

"We are parents of young children, and if the venture is not financially feasible, it is not possible. It feels good to be able to show that as a female athlete with two children you don't have to quit," she says.

It's all thanks to our partners and families. So winning gold for them in Milano-Cortina was magical.

Stronger sweeper

The team, which was formed in 2015 and has won medals in every Olympic Games since then, is on an upward trajectory in terms of development, Hasselborg believes.

I think that's also why we continue and don't jump off a train that feels like it's rolling.

We have stepped up now, especially when it comes to the physical aspects of the sweepers (Agnes Knochenhauer, Sofia Scharback and Sara McManus). That is where we see the biggest challenge and the greatest potential for development.

No reserve

New for the upcoming Olympic effort is that reserve Johanna Heldin will not continue; she will begin her ST service as a doctor.

For the first time, the team will continue with the same coach across two Olympic cycles, Kristian Lindström.

He is an incredibly competent coach when it comes to technical development, and we also see big differences in our individual games.

Facts: Team Hasselborg
