"Lukas has been clear that he wants to play at a higher level. He has meant a lot to us during his time in Leksand, and last season he also took on a lot of responsibility as team captain," says Leksand's sports director Jesper Ollas.
Vejdemo played three seasons in Leksand after moving from Djurgården, then in HockeyAllsvenskan. Before that, he played in the Montreal organization for four seasons.
Lukas Vejdemo became Leksand's top scorer last season with 18 goals.
