Over 50 school employees have been bought out after allegations of sexual advances towards children. Every fourth has since been able to move on to a new school, according to an investigation by SVT.

A man in his 50s, who was employed at a school in Haninge municipality, was recently prosecuted for sexual harassment, suspected of having filmed 50 girls when they were naked. The man has previously been relocated and bought out from other schools but been able to continue working as a teacher. He is also convicted of similar crimes at another school.

An investigation by SVT shows that the case is not unique. Over 50 school employees have been bought out in the last ten years in connection with allegations of everything from suspected rapes and sexual harassment to child pornography crimes.

In at least every fourth case, the person has then gotten a new employment. Including a teacher in his 40s who was accused of sexual abuse against a nine-year-old pupil. He was bought out and moved on to a school in another municipality, where he was then bought out again.
