The incident took place in February 2024. The student said during questioning that the teacher squeezed her bottom and that a few hours after the incident she went to the school nurse and told her what had happened.
The teacher says he collided with the student and grabbed her to prevent her from falling. However, the district court did not accept that explanation, and the teacher was sentenced to a suspended sentence and ordered to pay 15,000 kronor in damages to the girl.
The teacher was also charged in a separate molestation case in which he was suspected of having touched another student's breasts. In that case, he was acquitted. He was allowed to continue working at the school while awaiting sentencing, but resigned from his position in April of this year.
