The pop icon ended with three concerts in Vancouver on Canada's west coast, and on Sunday evening, it was the final stop on a journey that began in Arizona in March 2023.
Swift greeted the audience at a sold-out BC Place Stadium with a:
It feels like a pretty cool evening to be in Vancouver!
Last year, before Swift announced that the tour would also make stops in Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrote a plea on X:
"I know places in Canada that would love it if you came here. So please, don't give us another 'Cruel summer'", he wrote, referring to Swift's huge hit from 2019.
Record
The giant "The Eras Tour" landed in Sweden for three evenings at the end of May. The tour has spanned five continents and broken several records – including being the highest-grossing tour ever. Swift's camp has not disclosed the exact sales figures, but the industry magazine Pollstar estimates that it has brought in nearly 22 billion kronor.
In the countries where the tour has made stops, both the economy and tourism have received a significant boost, and it has, of course, also dominated the popular cultural news flow since its start.
In February, the tour was hot news when the tour schedule dominated both the pop and sports worlds, asking the question: Will Swift make it from her concert in Tokyo to Las Vegas? Her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs were playing the final in the American Super Bowl.
The question almost overshadowed the match itself in media reporting, and the Japanese embassy in Washington had to issue an official statement that she would surely make it to the match.
Setbacks
The tour was also hit by a series of setbacks. In Vienna, three concerts had to be cancelled after authorities arrested a man who had planned a terrorist attack on the shows, and in Rio de Janeiro, a young fan died of exhaustion during a concert.
Initially, frustration was also high among fans as the pressure on ticket sales was enormous. Ticket giant Ticketmaster's site crashed, the wait for fans was long, and many were left without tickets. This led to Ticketmaster, among other things, having to change its policy for ticket sales.
