New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani says Taylor Swift paid over $160,000 - around SEK 1.5 million - for the city's permission to close streets around Madison Square Garden ahead of her and Travis Kelce's wedding on July 4.
"Taylor Swift has already paid the cost of the permit that was filed, which was over $160,000 for that event and the effort around it. It was a permit that was finalized, I think, just a few days before the actual event," Mamdani said, according to Rolling Stone.
It is unclear whether additional police costs have been reimbursed.
