The 45-year-old man has regularly turned up at the superstar's home in Los Angeles. According to legal documents that TMZ has taken part of, the man claims that Swift has given birth to his child. He has also managed to change the address on his driver's license to Swift's address, has threatened her online and tried to steal mail from her house.

Now an American court has issued a restraining order, and the man is not allowed to come closer to Swift than 91 meters (100 yards) for five years. He is also not allowed to contact her in any other way.

It is not the first time Swift has had problems with stalkers. In 2018, a man was sentenced to ten years of conditional imprisonment after threatening to kill the star. The same year, another man broke into her home in New York where he took a shower in Swift's bathroom and crawled into her bed, a feat that gave him a prison sentence.

Several other men have stalked and threatened Swift over the years, which, among other things, has made her use facial recognition at concerts to detect potential stalkers.
