It is Travis Kelce's father Ed Kelce who reveals how the engagement went. The couple got engaged in the city of Lee's Summit, southeast of Kansas City, where Kelce lives and plays American football.

He took her there and when they were going to go out and eat dinner, he said: "We go out into the garden and have a glass of wine first". They went out there and that's when he proposed and it was so beautiful, says Ed Kelce to the TV channel ABC5 in his hometown Cleveland.

Shortly after, the couple got in touch via Facetime with Ed Kelce, who will become Taylor Swift's father-in-law.

According to Ed Kelce, his son had planned the engagement for a long time and he thought it would happen several months ago. But Travis Kelce wanted it to be a memorable moment.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got together two years ago and got to know each other after he revealed in his podcast that he tried to meet her in connection with the star's concert in Kansas City.

No date has yet been announced for the wedding, but the couple has a lot to do in the near future. On September 8, the NFL season begins for Travis Kelce and on October 3, Taylor Swift releases her new album "The life of a showgirl".
