On Monday, a Florida judge set a detention hearing for August 13 to determine whether the brothers should be released during the extradition process, which could last several months.

The brothers will remain in custody for at least another two weeks until their next hearing, while they appeal their extradition to the UK.

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested by federal authorities in Miami on July 18.

The brothers are charged with rape and sex trafficking, according to a federal judge.
