On board, there were, according to NRK, 23 crew members as well as air defense intended to protect the Polish airport Rzeszów-Jasionka near Ukraine. No one is reported to have been injured.

The grounding off Haugesund on Norway's west coast is said to have delayed the deployment of a Norwegian NATO force, writes NTB. Norway is sending 100 soldiers, fighter jets, and the Nasams air defense system to maintain security around the airport in southeastern Poland in light of the Ukraine war.

The Defense has, following the grounding, established a temporary restricted area to protect military equipment, says a military spokesperson to Forsvarets forum.
