The Times, which TV4 Fotbollskanalen referred to, previously stated that Saka will not play again for four to six weeks.
At a press conference today, Arteta confirmed that the club will have to do without the thigh-muscle-injured Saka for a longer period. It is highly likely that the national team player will miss, among other things, the big matches against Manchester United, Tottenham, and Aston Villa in January.
Saka has scored nine goals and 13 goal-assisting passes in 24 matches this season. He has been instrumental in an Arsenal that is third in the Premier League, in the semifinals of the League Cup, and on its way to the Champions League playoffs.
He was injured as early as 21 minutes into the 5–1 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Afterwards, Saka was seen leaving the arena with the help of crutches.
Raheem Sterling is also injured and will not play again for a while.
