Norwegian biathlon legend Tarjei Bø, who is to run the last race of his career this weekend, has fallen ill.
As a result, he will miss Friday's World Cup sprint in Holmenkollen – and Sunday's mass start is at risk.
"The worst timing. This afternoon I got a fever and therefore do not have the opportunity to run the sprint tomorrow. Hopefully, I can participate on Sunday", he writes on Instagram.
In January, shortly after his brother Johannes Thingnes Bø announced that he would end his career after the season, Tarjei came with the same message.
The weekend's World Cup finale was to be the successful brothers' last competitions – but now one of them risks missing the dream finale on home soil.
