Florida knocked out Tampa Bay in the Stanley Cup eighth-finals last year, on their way to the Stanley Cup title. And Panthers had a 2–0 lead ahead of Saturday's third match, best of seven, at home.
But Tampa Bay Lightning turned 0–1 into a win with 5–1 and are now very much back in the "Battle for Florida" again.
Jake Guentzel scored a goal and two assists.
Florida defenseman Aaron Ekblad was back in play after being suspended for 20 matches since he tested positive in a doping test in March.
The fourth match is played on Tuesday night, Swedish time.
