Sevan is recalling Tahina in several different sizes since salmonella has been confirmed in a few samples. The recall applies to glass jars of 800 grams, as well as 5 and 18 kilogram buckets.
As a precautionary measure, all variants of sesame paste with best-before dates according to the following are being recalled:
Sevan Tahina 5 kilo with best-before dates 22/11 2025 and 15/1 2026 to 5/2 2026.
Sevan Tahina 18 kilo with best-before dates 15/1 2026 to 15/2 2026.
Sevan Tahina 800 gram with best-before dates 15/1 2026 to 15/2 2026 and 15/5 2026 to 25/5 2026.
"Salmonella is a health risk and we urge consumers who have purchased any of the affected products not to consume them, but instead discard the product", writes Sevan in a press release.
