A Syrian man is sentenced to life imprisonment in Germany for crimes against humanity under Bashar al-Assad's regime. In the case, testimonies from 30 people have been heard in court.
The man is convicted, among other things, of murder and torture. The crimes were committed during his time as a soldier under the former president Bashar al-Assad.
The Islamist HTS movement overthrew Bashar al-Assad's regime in December.
