In the interview, Stallone says that he never accepted, and was surprised when he saw on television in 2025 that he, Mel Gibson and Jon Voight had been appointed by Trump to make Hollywood "bigger, better and stronger than before."
"If they had asked me from the beginning, I would have said this is not possible," says Stallone.
Stallone explains that Hollywood consists of independent power centres that he cannot control.
"You don't go in and tell six film companies how to do things," Stallone says in the interview.
He also told Trump that “it won’t work.”
Despite the misunderstanding, Stallone says he still admires the president.
