The swimming pool in Fårösund on Gotland has been evacuated and cordoned off after an alarm about chlorine gas emissions, reports P4 Gotland.
The emissions are due to the fact that the wrong liquids have been mixed together – hydrochloric acid used to regulate the pH value and sodium hypochlorite used against bacteria in the water.
The pool is cordoned off pending ventilation of the gas. It is unclear when the pool can reopen.
