The Pole, who has not lost a set during the tournament, took command directly and broke her opponent blankly already in the first game. For Navarro, there was not much to cheer for in set number one, which was over after just 36 minutes.
The second set went a bit better for the New York-born world eight – she won two games instead of one – but no further even match was achieved, and Swiatek finished in the same way as she started, namely with a break.
For Swiatek's part, Madison Keys, another American, now awaits in the semifinal. Keys advanced when she defeated Elina Svitolina from Ukraine in three sets, 3–6, 6–3, 6–4.
