Swedish woman arrested in Alicante, Spain on suspicion of drug trafficking and money laundering

The 28-year-old woman was arrested near the airport and faces three years in prison for suspected crimes from 2023.

The woman had a European arrest warrant issued by Swedish authorities for drug trafficking and money laundering.

The crimes are alleged to have been committed in 2023 in Sollentuna municipality. The 28-year-old is suspected, together with another person, of selling and distributing narcotics, including cocaine, ketamine and MDMA. She is also alleged to have possessed just over 70,000 kronor in cash.

After Spanish police suspected the woman was at Alicante-Elche Airport, they carried out an operation that led to her arrest.
