The person was slightly injured but suffered shrapnel wounds in the attack. The volunteer had traveled to Ukraine with the organization Send Forward to Ukraine to distribute supplies to people in need in Ukraine.
After a delivery, a group from the organization stopped at a gas station in the Poltava region in central Ukraine, where the volunteer was hit by the drone while sitting in a vehicle.
The person will be able to see a doctor but not in a hospital. We are together and everyone is doing well under the circumstances, says Kristina Leivik, co-founder of the organization, to P4.
