In volleyball circles, the 205-centimeter tall right-wing spiker is already a big name. Last summer, he made a strong senior national team debut against Denmark and delivered 18 points in three sets.
When the elite series regular season ended in early March, it was clear that Axel Enlund had won the point league title in superior style. In 20 matches, he collected 515 points. Enlund simultaneously finished second in the block league (57 points-giving blocks) and fourth in the serve league (28 aces). He was named the season's player in the elite series.
On June 6-8, Axel Enlund will play the Silver League with Sweden's European Championship-bound men's national team in his hometown of Umeå.
