Sweden can still dream of a medal in the mixed doubles curling tournament. The siblings Isabella and Rasmus Wranå defeated Canada 7–6.

A strong seventh end, in which Sweden scored three points, decided the thrilling match.

The victory was important, as a loss could have cost Sweden a place in the semifinals, depending on other results. Now Sweden is in a strong position ahead of the final match against the USA.

A victory there would greatly increase Sweden's chances of advancing from the Olympic curling preliminary round in Milan.

Sweden now has five wins and three losses after eight matches.

Sunday's second match against the USA starts at 7:05 p.m.

Of the ten competing teams, the top four advance to the semifinals after each team has played every other.
