The 34-year-old injured her right foot in the last club team match before the European Championship. She has had her foot X-rayed and is not worried about missing her 18th championship in her career.

Jamina Roberts had also hoped to play in the first of two training matches against Poland.

However, she did not get to.

The star was present during the warm-up but then had to watch the victory in Ystad from the bench.

From the bench, she saw her teammates fine-tune their form ahead of the championship in Switzerland, Hungary, and Austria in the best possible way.

The meeting with Poland resulted in a major victory, 38–22.

I think we play very well in periods. It was the same against Spain, in the two matches, that we get to play our game, train our game at high tempo and against another opponent. It always gives us something, says national team coach Tomas Axnér to SVT.

On Sunday, the teams will face each other again, this time in Lund.

The European Championship begins for Sweden against North Macedonia in Hungarian Debrecen on Thursday. Then, group stage matches against Hungary and Turkey await.

The two best teams from each group will advance to the main round.
