Together with her then 14-year-old best friend, the Swedish girl accepted a mission to carry out an assassination on the encrypted messaging platform Signal.

At the end of May 2024, the girls took the train to Denmark, where they were given a weapon and went to a man's home with the intention of killing him.

The man did not open the door when they knocked, and the murder attempt failed. At the trial, the prosecutor asked what would have happened if the man had been home.

"He would have been dead for sure. But I'm glad he wasn't home," the now 17-year-old girl replied.

The girl was sentenced in July 2024 to two and a half years in prison in Sweden for attempted murder.

A 29-year-old Danish man was previously sentenced to six years in prison for instigating the crime.
