During the day, prosecutor Christian Skov Poulsen will request that the older girl, who is now 16 years old, be detained in order to then be able to proceed with a European arrest warrant. The other girl is too young to be punished.

It is so that she can be extradited, he says to the news agency Ritzau.

The 16-year-old is suspected of attempted murder after being at a house in the city of Herning together with the other girl. They had a pistol with them. The purpose was, according to the police, to murder a man – but since he was not at home, the attempted murder was never completed.

The man has no known connection to any gang and Skov Poulsen cannot answer why someone wanted him to die.

Several other people are suspected of involvement, including a 22-year-old Swedish man who is detained for having coordinated the attempted murder.
