The engineering industry is losing momentum and orders received decreased during the second quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter.
This is shown by the Swedish Association of Engineering Industries' business cycle barometer for the second quarter of the year.
"Above all, it is a comprehensive decrease in orders received for the transport industry that weighs down the overall picture", says the Swedish Association of Engineering Industries' chief economist, Erik Spector in a press release.
The business cycle barometer covers assessments from approximately 500 companies and is published four times a year.
