Beach volleyball talents Jacob Hölting Nilsson, 20, and Elmer Andersson, 19, continue to win in Australia. In their World Cup debut, the pair are now through to the round of 16.

The Swedes won the round of 16 in Adelaide against the Germans Paul Henning and Lui Wüst in two straight sets (23–21, 21–17).

It's very nice to play a match like this, when there's such a fight and you can hear the crowd – even if there were more German than Swedish fans, says Hölting Nilsson in SVT's broadcast.

Hölting Nilsson/Andersson advanced to the playoffs as group runner-up, and in their playoff debut, the nerves seemed to let up after an even first set.

In the second set, the Swedes quickly took the lead, leading 13–7. Although the Germans came closer, they never managed to catch up.

"We had a few balls in defense where we couldn't get that little extra to put it in the sand. But it was a good match," says Andersson.

In the round of 16, the Swedes will face the Brazilian pair Renato Lima and Andre Loyola, who earlier in the tournament defeated the reigning Olympic champions Jonatan Hellvig and David Åhman.
