Swedish Super Upset – Knocked Out Former World Champion

Jeffrey de Graaf, 34, has knocked out former World Champion Gary Anderson in the World Championship. It's fantastic. Gary didn't deliver as well as he usually does, but I'm very pleased with the win, says de Graaf to Sky Sports.

De Graaf won in three straight sets against Gary "The flying scotsman" Anderson in the World Championship's second round on Sunday evening.

I got very nervous after the first set and when I led 2–0 I thought: "what's happening?", says de Graaf after the upset.

It's the first time that the multiple World Champion Gary Anderson, 53, loses his opening match in the World Championship.

He was seen as one of the top contenders to the big favorites Luke Humphries and Luke Littler, but is now eliminated due to the Swede's major upset.

Jeffrey de Graaf, born in the Netherlands, lives in Stockholm and represents Sweden in the World Championship.

For the 34-year-old, Filipino Paolo Nebrida awaits in the third round after Christmas.
