Brighton hosted Hjalmar Ekdal's Burnley in the Premier League. Yasin Ayari scored in the meeting between the two Swedes, which ended 2–0.

Early in the second half, Ayari stepped up. The midfielder made his way into the penalty area and coolly placed a low shot that made it 2-0 for Brighton.

The goal was the 22-year-old's second in the Premier League this season. He last scored in September against Tottenham.

The victory was Brighton's first since November. Before Saturday, Brighton had gone six straight games without a win.

Ayari is a key player in the Swedish national team, which will try to reach the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico via the playoffs this spring.
