After a somewhat shaky start to the season, the scoring has gotten underway with a bang for Toronto. The team can thank its Swedish stars for that.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson and William Nylander both scored a goal and two assists when Nashville was defeated 7–4 in tonight's NHL round.
Despite the goal explosion, the match was long and uncertain, and Nashville managed to catch up with a two-goal deficit in the middle period before Toronto could pull away again.
– I think we managed to come back, so kudos to us for that and for finding a way to take the lead with a goal again and then 4-2, says Ekman-Larsson, according to nhl.com.
So it gave us our confidence back and I think we controlled the match pretty well in the third period.
Team-mates John Tavares and Matthew Knies were also noted for three points each.
We fought for all 60 minutes and managed to win, says Nylander, according to nhl.com
