Swedish sports history was made in Australia when two blue and yellow beach volleyball teams made it to the finals of the World Cup. However, beach volleyball fever doesn't have to die down just yet. We actually have a competition coming up in Sweden, on January 29, reveals newly crowned world champion David Åhman.

The last weekend in January, the successful teams will meet again, this time in Aviici Arena. It is the King of the Court tournament that is coming to the Swedish capital. In addition to the Swedish stars, more world players are promised.

We have played once in Sweden in six years, so it will be fun to show the Swedish audience what this sport is like live, says national team captain Rasmus Jonsson.

The tournament, however, is not similar to regular beach volleyball in its format. Several teams compete to get as many points as possible during a 15-minute round that has a similar format to "Kung", which is played around volleyball nets and ping-pong tables in schoolyards all over the world.

There will be a show at the Globe,” says Jonsson.
