The national basketball team has included the Murcia duo Ludvig Håkanson and Simon Birgander in the squad for the European Championship qualifying matches against the reigning world champions Germany, on November 22 and 25.
Guard Håkanson and center Birgander have missed the recent national team gatherings due to injuries and have not played for the national team since 2022.
Sweden meets Germany at the Hovet in Stockholm next Friday, and the teams will meet again three days later in Heidelberg. All teams in the European Championship qualifying group – Sweden, Germany, Bulgaria, and Montenegro – have one win and one loss so far.
