Swedish Star Felix Claar Shines in Magdeburg's Champions League Win

Handball's Champions League has begun – and the reigning champion team Magdeburg showed their muscles directly. Much thanks to a Swedish star. Felix Claar shone with eleven goals when Paris Saint-Germain was defeated, 37–31.

”It felt really good today and the atmosphere in the arena was fantastic. We have taken the first points in Champions League, what more can we wish for", says the person from Östergötland to Magdeburg's website after the victory late on Wednesday evening.

Middanian Claar had three blue and yellow national team colleagues with him on the pitch: Albin Lagergren (three goals), Oscar Bergendahl (two) and Daniel Pettersson (one).

In PSG, Sebastian Karlsson scored a goal in the first CL match with his new club.

Magdeburg won the Champions League last season after having knocked out Barcelona in the semifinal and then defeated Füchse Berlin in the final.
