Swedish Small Businesses’ Confidence Hits Highest Level Since 2022 as Sales Outlook Improves

Swedish small businesses are breathing a sigh of relief. Confidence in the future is at its highest since 2022.

Several companies are now expecting increased sales and more jobs, according to this autumn's Small Business Barometer from Företagarna (the Swedish Federation of Business Owners), Swedbank and Sparbankerna (Sweden's savings banks).

"The recovery is now having a clear impact on the everyday lives of small businesses. We see that more companies are winning new business, turnover is increasing and profitability is improving," says Jörgen Kennemar, business economist at Swedbank, in a press release.

Companies' expectations for the coming year are now above the historical average, something that has not happened since 2022.
