Won did the Norwegian Kasper Fosser at the same time as the bronze went to Matthias Kyburz from Switzerland.

Martin Regborn was tearful when he spoke with SVT after the finish:

One has struggled for this one's whole life. One does not have so many years left in the career, it can be the last chance, he said and continued:

It is among the most difficult things that I have done. It is hard to imagine how tough this forest is when one runs far. It is really uneven, green and lush. One sees nothing and one kind of stumbles forward.

Best Swede after Regborn became Emil Svensk on a fourth place.

It also became Swedish silver on the women's side where Tove Alexandersson took the second place.

The first place went to the Swiss Simona Aebersold who defended her gold from the home ground 2023.
